The Youth of the Duwamish Rowing Club traveled to Dexter Lake, fifteen miles southeast of Eugene Oregon, for the Covered Bridge Regatta on Saturday, April 13th, and came away happy.
They have been working hard through the winter and began on the water rowing last month to prepare.
Overall in the regatta there were 28 clubs and DRC made a great showing.
Our girls Novice Quad took silver – they fought hard in a very tight competitive final.
Out of 21 entires in the 3 finals they had the third fastest time overall.

Rheea Dolores and Bree Hopkins placed third in their JV 2x final against much older girls – fighting for their bronze in a very tight race.
Sprinting at the end and staying strong.
Alek Gastmans and Jyvon Camarillo rowed the boys Junior Varsity Double even though they are novices.
It was an adventurous race for them.
The last 800 meters they lengthened to a beautiful sprint – passing every boat.
They were in the lead but a crab at the end of the race placed them 4th, just seconds behind.
An amazing first 2k for this boat.
