Kathleen began rowing as a walk on freshman at the University of Southern California in 1990, making varsity her second year. The team comradery and their accomplishments racing in San Diego Crew Classic and PAC 10 championships were highlights of her college days.
As a masters rower, Kathleen has enjoyed competing in regattas on both coasts. She has been apart of the competitive teams for Norwalk River Rowing Club, Community Rowing Inc, Los Angeles Rowing Club, Rio Salado Rowing Club and Tempe Town Lake Rowing Club. In 2010, Kathleen learned to scull at the Florida Rowing Center and continues to train with Marlene Royle @Roylerow targeting aspirations to compete in her single. Medaling in the Head of the Charles, Head of the Schuylkill, Head of the American, Covered Bridge Regatta, SW & NW Regionals are some of her achievements in team & single events. After 20 years in the sport, Kathleen decided coaching would be a great way to impart her passion for the sport to others. She hopes to foster a lifetime love of rowing to DRC youth.
Off the water, Kathleen home schools her two preteen sons. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family and friends, hiking, viewing independent & international films and reading.
